Android 4.0 & 4.1 (Ice Cream Sandwich & Jelly Bean) - Internet and MMS

  1. Pull down the notifications screen & tap on Settings
  2. Tap on Mobile Data (some phones say "more"
  3. Tap Mobile Networks (some phones have "Access Point Names" here)
  4. Tap Access Point Names
  5. Press the menu button
  6. Select New APN
    • Name:SIMPLE Mobile
    • APN: simple
    • Proxy:<Not set>
    • Port:<Not set>
    • Username:<Not set>
    • Password:<Not set>
    • Server:<Not set>
    • MMSC:http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    • MMS Proxy:<Not set>
    • MMS Port:<Not set>
    • MCC: 310
    • MNC: 260
    • APN Type: default,supl,mms,admin
    • If no APN settings are present, a restore to factory default settings may be required.
  7. Select Menu and Save
  8. Go back one screen to the APN list and tap on the dot to Enable the SIMPLE Mobile APN
  9. Restart phone & you're set!
  10. These settings have been tested to work with the Galaxy S3 and the HTC One S

Android 1.6 – 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) - Internet and MMS

From the home screen

  1. Press Menu
  2. Select "Settings"
  3. Select "Wireless & networks"
    • Check that "Airplane mode" and "Wi-Fi" are unchecked
  4. Select "Mobile networks"
    • Check that "Data enabled" is checked.
  5. Select "Access Point Names"
  6. Delete all existing APNs
    • Select APN
    • Press Menu
    • Select "Delete APN"
  7. Create new APN
    • Press Menu
    • Select "New APN"
    • Enter the following information:
      • Name: SIMPLE Mobile
      • APN*: simple
      • Proxy: <Not set>
      • Port: <Not set>
      • Username: <Not set>
      • Password: <Not set>
      • Server: <Not set>
      • MMSC: http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
      • MMS Proxy: <Not set>
      • MMS Port: <Not set>
      • MCC: 310
      • MNC: 260
      • Authentication Type: <Not set>
      • APN type: <Not set>

      • Press Menu
      • Select "Save"
  8. Reboot phone.
  9. Your Internet & MMS is now configured!

Android 1.5 (HTC G1 & Samsung Behold II) - Internet and MMS

For Samsung Behold II,dial *#87927# and skip to step 5.

  1. Press the menu.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Wireless Controls or Wireless & Networks.
  4. Tap Mobile Networks.
  5. Check that:
    • "Data Roaming" and "Use Only 2G Networks" are both unchecked.
  6. Tap Access Point Names.
  7. Press the menu button.
  8. Select New APN.
    • Name:SIMPLE Mobile
    • APN: simple
    • Proxy:<Not set>
    • Port:<Not set>
    • Username:<Not set>
    • Password:<Not set>
    • Server:<Not set>
    • MMSC:http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc

Apple iPhone - Internet and MMS (iOS 5 or previous)

  1. Cellular Data

  2. Select Settings.
  3. General Settings.
  4. Select Network.
  5. Select Cellular Data Network.
  6. APN: simple
  7. Username: Blank
  8. Password: Blank

Apple iPhone - Internet and MMS (iOS 6 or later)

  1. Go to "Settings", tap on WiFi and temporarily turn it OFF
  2. Back in "Settings", scroll down to "Messages" and tap to open it. Make sure MMS is OFF
  3. Go back to "Settings", tap on "General" and then "Cellular". Make sure "Enable 3G" is OFF & "Data Roaming" is ON.
  4. Scroll down & tap on "Cellular Data Network"
  5. Under "Cellular Data Network" put in the following:
    • Cellular Data APN: simple
    • MMS APN: simple
    • MMSC: http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    • MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
    • MMS Max Message Size: 1048576
    • MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf
    • Leave all other fields blank
  6. Click on the Home button to go back to the main phone screen
  7. Go back to "Settings" one more time, scroll down and tap on "Messages" and turn it ON
  8. Press the Home button and you're set to send & receive MMS on SIMPLE Mobile!
  9. Once you have set it up and tested to see it works, you can re-enable WiFi, turn off Data Roaming and turn on 3G (or leave it off if you're not in a 3G area for AT&T devices on our network).

Blackberry – Internet and MMS

Good News! Activating a BlackBerry on SIMPLE Mobile with BIS services does not require additional programming for Web & MMS! This is done automatically when you activate your SIM and place it in your BlackBerry. Because of this you will be up and surfing the web in no time. However, if you experience connection issues with some internet connected Apps, follow these additional steps:

  1. Select Options or Settings and then select Options.
  2. Select Advanced Options.
  3. Select TCP (Option will say TCP/IP on OS 4.6 and higher).
  4. If applicable, check mark the APN Settings Enabled box.
  5. Enter simple as the APN. Ensure no entries in the username or password fields.
  6. Click the back arrow and then select Save.

Dell Inspiron Mini 4G

  1. Select T-Mobile webConnect.
  2. Select Tools followed by Profiles.
  3. Select Add.
  4. Select Broadband.
  5. Select Create Custom Profile.
  6. Enter the following information:
    • Access Point Name: simple
    • User name: [empty]
    • Password: [empty]
  7. Select Next
  8. Select the following:
    • Obtain an IP automatically
    • Obtain DNS server address automatically
  9. Select Next
  10. Enter the following:
    • Profile name: SIMPLE Mobile
  11. Select Finish
  12. Select Simple Mobile and hit Connect.
  13. Your device is now configured!

LG Optimus T and Optimus G2X - Internet and MMS

  1. Press Menu
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Wireless & Networks
    • Check that Airplane mode is unchecked
  4. Select Mobile Networks
    • Check that Data Enabled is checked
  5. Select Access Point Name
    • *Note* T-Mobile US APN cannot be edited or delete
    • Press Menu
    • Select New APN
    • Enter the following settings:
      • Name:SIMPLE Mobile
      • APN*:simple
      • Proxy:<Not set>
      • Port:<Not set>
      • Username:<Not set>
      • Password:<Not set>
      • Server:<Not set>
      • MMSC: http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
      • MMS Proxy:<Not set>
      • MMS Port:<Not set>
      • MCC: 310
      • MNC: 260
      • Authentication Type: <Not set>
      • APN type:<Not set>
      • *Case sensitive
    • Press Menu
    • Select Save
  6. Make sure the green radio button is directly to the right of SIMPLE Data MMS
  7. Reboot phone.
  8. Your Internet & MMS is now configured!

LG Generic (Sentio GS505, GS170, DLite) - Internet and MMS

Many LG devices can simply be programmed Over the Air.�Please contact your local Dealer to receive your OTA programming message.

  1. Internet Setup

  2. Select Menu.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Connection.
  5. Select Network Profile.
  6. Select Network Profile.
  7. Enter the following information:
    • Connection title: simple web
    • Auth: [None]
    • User name: [empty]
    • Password: [empty]
    • APN: simple
  1. Browser Setup

  2. Select Menu.
  3. Select Media Net (if At&t).
  4. Select Browser Settings.
  5. Select Accounts.
  6. Select Options.
  7. Select New.
  8. Enter the following details:
    • Acct Name: Simple Web
    • Homepage: [User Preference]
    • Connection Type: TCP without proxy
    • Security: Non-Secure
    • Time out: 150
    • Network profile: Simple Web
    • Click Save
    • Check the box next to Simple Web

  2. Select Messages.
  3. Select Message Settings.
  4. Select MMS.
  5. Select message Center.
  6. Select Options.
  7. Select New.
  8. Enter the following information:
    • Name: Simple MMS
    • MMSC URL: http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    • MMSC Proxy: 0.0.0.0
    • MMSC Port: 80
    • Connection Mode: TCP w/o Proxy
    • Network Profile: Simple Web
    • Click Save
    • Select Activate

LG KP500

  1. Internet Setup

  2. Select Menu.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Connection.
  5. Select Access points.
  6. Add profile.
  7. Connection title enter: Simple Mobile
  8. Bearer: GPRS
  9. Authentication: PAP

Samsung Galaxy S (3G, 4G)

  1. From the home screen

  2. Press Menu
  3. Select "Settings"
  4. Select "Wireless and networks"
    • Check that "Flight Mode" is unchecked
  5. Select "Mobile Networks"
    • Check that "Use packet data" is checked
  6. Select "Access Point Names"
  7. Press Menu
    • Select "Reset to default"
  8. Select "T-Mobile US"
    • Select "Name" and populate the field with "SIMPLE Data MMS" (not required)
      • Select "OK"
    • Select "APN" and populate the field with "simple" *CASE SENSITIVE*
      • Select "OK"
    • Select "MMSC" and add "smpl." after "http://" and before "mms."
      • Field should show "http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc"
      • Select "OK"
    • Press Menu
      • Select "Save"
  9. Reboot phone.
  10. Your Internet and MMS is now configured!

Samsung Gravity (1,2,3,T) and Most Samsung Devices - Internet and MMS

Samsung Behold (Highlight, Memoir & Solstice) - Internet and MMS

  1. Generic Internet Setup

  2. From the main menu select Settings.
  3. Select Configuration settings.
  4. Select Personal configuration settings.
  5. Select Add New.
  6. Select Services (or Web).
  7. Select Account name.
  8. Enter Simple.
  9. Select OK.
  10. Select Homepage and enter: http://www.google.com
  11. Select OK twice.
  12. Leave the Username and Password blank.
  13. Select Access point settings.
  14. Select Proxy.
  15. Select Disable.
  16. Select OK.
  17. Select Proxy address.
  18. Enter 0.0.0.0
  19. Select OK.
  20. Select Proxy Port.
  21. Enter 8080 and then select OK.
  22. Select Data bearer.
  23. Select GPRS and then select OK.
  24. Select Bearer settings.
  25. Select GPRS access point.
  26. Enter simple as the access point and then select OK.
  27. Select Authentication.
  28. Select Normal and then select OK.
  29. Leave the Username and Password blank.
  30. Select Back twice.
  31. Select the Simple profile.
  32. Select Options.
  33. Select Activate Service Settings.
  34. Press the red End key to return to the home screen.

HTC MyTouch (4G, 3G Slide, 3G) - Internet and MMS

  1. From the home screen

  2. Press Menu
  3. Select "Settings"
  4. Select "Wireless & networks"
    • Check that "Airplane mode" is unchecked and "Mobile network" is checked
  5. Select "Mobile Networks"
  6. Select "Access Point Names"
  7. Press Menu
    • Select "Reset to Default"
  8. Select "T-Mobile Data"
    • Select "Name" and populate the field with "SIMPLE Data"
    • Select "OK"
    • Select "APN" and populate the field with "simple"�*CASE SENSITIVE*
    • Select "OK"
    • Press Menu
    • Select "Save"
  9. Select "T-Mobile MMS"
    • Select "Name" and populate the field with "SIMPLE MMS"
      • Select "OK"
    • Select "APN" and populate the field with "simple" *CASE SENSITIVE*
      • Select "OK"
    • Select "MMSC" and add "smpl." after "http://" and before "mms."
      • Field should show "http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc"

    • Check that "Airplane mode" and "Wi-Fi" are unchecked

      • Check that "Data enabled" is checked.

  1. WAP Setup

  2. Enter the Main Menu.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Web Access.
  5. Select Web Sessions.
  6. Select New Entry.
  7. Enter the following information:
    • Name: Simple
    • Homepage: [Up to the customer]
    • Proxy 1: 0.0.0.0
    • Port 1: 8080
    • Domain 1: [empty]
    • DNS1: [empty]
    • DNS2: [empty]
    • GPRS APN: simple
    • Username: [empty]
    • Password: [empty]
  8. Select Done.
  9. With Simple highlighted, select Options Set as Default.
  1. MMS Setup

  2. Enter the Main Menu.
  3. Select Messaging.
  4. Select Options.
  5. Select Setup.
  6. Select Message Setup.
  7. Select Multimedia Message Setup.
  8. Select Server Info.
  9. Select Options.
  10. Select New.
  11. Enter the following details:
    • Service Name: Simple MMS
    • Server name: http://smpl.mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    • Web Session Name: select Simple
  12. Select Done.
  13. Select simple mms and there will be a check next to it that indicates it will be using that mms profile.

ZTE - Internet Only

  1. Select T-Mobile webConnect.
  2. Select Tools followed by Profiles.
  3. Select Add.
  4. Select Broadband.
  5. Select Create Custom Profile.
  6. Enter the following information:
    • Access Point Name: simple
    • User name: [empty]
    • Password: [empty]
  7. Select Next
  8. Select the following:
    • Obtain an IP automatically
    • Obtain DNS server address automatically
  9. Select Next
  10. Enter the following:
    • Profile name: SIMPLE Mobile
  11. Select Finish
  12. Select Simple Mobile and hit Connect.
  13. Your device is now configured!
